Can I Swim On My Period?
Yes. Swimming on your period is very safe. In fact, when you dip yourself in water, generally your menstrual flow may temporarily stop due to pressure. But this is not always the case, so you must wear a backup to a tampon or menstrual cup. If you cough, sneeze, or laugh the pressure will change and your menstrual flow may start to come out in the water.
Tampon and Menstrual Cup users can use the absorbent lining as a backup for any leaks.
For those that cannot use Menstrual cups or Tampons:
Sanitary pads can be secured, and discreetly hidden in our undergarments. To avoid an oversaturated pad and issues, do not stay in the water too long - we suggest up to 1.5 hr. Discard the soaked pad immediately after leaving the water and apply a new sanitary pad.
Some people wear it with or without additional protection depending on your flow, this is an individual decision based on your flow, you know your body best - always maintain your flow. Wear a sanitary pad /tampon/ menstrual cup with this product if you have a heavier menstrual cycle. The swimwear is precautionary to secure sanitary pads and help prevent leak and stains.
Suggestion: Cotton Core Pads
Suggested Time Between Pad Changes: up to 1.5 hour
Includes a built-in absorbent liner to stop spills and stains.
